HARDOX
Due to its strength HARDOX plate has better dimensional stability and thus sustains a smaller amount of permanent deformation. Thinner plate can also be used which then results in a higher payload.
The excellent flatness of HARDOX plate is also of great importance in the production of tipper bodies and agricultural trailers for instance. HARDOX 450 grade is designed to cater for the needs of this market.
A major task of any maintenance department is to find the most effective wear resistant materials in different situations. Whenever we can extend the time intervals between overhauls by an extra year we reduce the maintenance efforts and costly downtime. For example 50mm thick HARDOX 500 steel plate is being used as wear plates in loading pockets.
